Kira's a Soccer Girl

This is a picture of Kira's 3rd goal of the season. She is number 8. She hit the goal post and followed up with a kick into the goal.

Kira has played two games thus far this season. Only two games because as you know, we don't live in the Bible belt and therefore, half of her games are on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. The games on Wednesdays we do not attend due to the conflict with Bible class and well... God supercedes soccer. We have one Wednesday game at 5:45 and Kira is looking forward to being able to wear her soccer uniform to Bible class after the game.

Kira has scored 4 goals in those two games and has lightening speed that allows her to run circles around the other kids (can you feel the parental bias?) She plays on one of the U6 teams for Cook Inlet Soccer Club (CISC) and competes with kids from 4-6 years in age with varying levels of skill and previous soccer abilities.

Here is our first family post to this blog. In an attempt to keep our families and friends more up to date with everything happening in our busy lives, we have created a blog spot. From time to time pictures will be included with the postings so that you can see what is going on too. I must say, thank you to Courtney for the inspiration of this blog creation.
