Meet Tammy and Dan Dolye (left picture- blue shirt and striped sweater). We had a little farewell party at their house for the 8 Army members of our church congregation who have been deployed to Iraq for a year. We had dinner played a game and then sang praises to God until 2 a.m. Kira's sad and begging face (right) was when she was asking to stay awake and continue singing with us at 12:30 a.m. Kira stayed awake and continued to request songs (The Battle Belongs to the Lord and Walkin' on Heaven's Road were both requested more than once) until 1:15 a.m. when she started asking to to go sleep. We got all of our stuff together (while still singing) and went home. It was a fun and uplifting evening spent with fellow Christians. The only thing that could have made it better was to have had my loving husband enjoying it with us.
